What does TEREA Turquoise taste like?

The IQOS flavor guide pairs "lightly toasted tobacco and zesty aroma notes" with "a crisp menthol cooling". IQOS also calls it "Cooling & Crisp" and sums it up as "Mellow refreshment".

Our catalog notes for Turquoise are lightly toasted tobacco, menthol and zesty. Our editorial reading: menthol leads, tobacco stays in the background, and the zest shows in the aroma. Taste is personal, so treat these notes as a starting point.

How strong is TEREA Turquoise?

By our reading, TEREA Turquoise sits at the lighter end of the IQOS scale: 4 out of 10 on the IQOS scale, below Green (5) and Blue (7). The IQOS flavor guide gives it 2 for intensity, 2 for body and 1 for aroma, and places it among its "Zesty" flavors with Yellow. On our four-step scale Turquoise is Mellow, the first step.

IQOS notes that its intensity ratings and descriptions relate solely to the flavor profile. In our catalog, intensity and cooling are rated separately.

How cool is TEREA Turquoise?

IQOS publishes a 5-point cooling score, giving Turquoise 2 and Blue 4. It calls Turquoise's menthol "crisp", while it labels Blue "Cooling & Deep" and Green "Cooling & Balanced". IQOS copy on the TEREA range describes Turquoise's menthol as delicate and Blue's as the most intense.

Our own cooling scale puts Turquoise at Light, level 1. That is our catalog grouping, not an IQOS rating: by IQOS's descriptions, Turquoise's menthol is lighter than Blue's and Green's.

TEREA Turquoise vs Blue: which is cooler and more intense?

By IQOS's own descriptions, TEREA Blue is the more intense and deeper-cooling of the two: IQOS rates Blue 7 of 10 for intensity and labels it "Cooling & Deep", while Turquoise is 4 of 10, "Fresh & Zesty", with "crisp" menthol. In the IQOS flavor guide Blue scores 3 / 4 / 2 against Turquoise's 2 / 2 / 1.

Our notes for Blue are mellow tobacco with menthol and peppermint; for Turquoise, lightly toasted tobacco with menthol and a zesty edge. Our catalog puts Blue at Strong cooling and Balanced strength, and Turquoise at Light cooling and Mellow strength. In our editorial view, pick Blue for a deeper peppermint menthol and Turquoise for a lighter, zesty one.

TEREA Turquoise vs other menthol TEREA flavors

The 10-point intensity comes from IQOS product information, the 5-point ratings from the IQOS flavor guide; we found no IQOS number for Zing Wave, Summer Wave or Kelly; the IQOS map lists Purple Wave, as Mauve wave, at 5. Notes, strength and cooling are our catalog data.

Our scales are simpler groupings. They do not map one-to-one onto the IQOS scales.

TEREA Turquoise vs Green

IQOS rates Green 5 against 4, with a fuller body in the IQOS flavor guide (3 against 2). Both are Mellow on our scale, and our notes for Green add spearmint. IQOS calls Green "Cooling & Balanced"; we group Green's cooling at Medium and Turquoise's at Light, in line with the IQOS wording. Availability is shown on the Green page.

TEREA Turquoise vs Yellow

IQOS puts both in its "Zesty" group and says Yellow is similar to Turquoise in intensity and body, with "a much stronger aroma". Yellow has no menthol and no cooling; Turquoise does.

TEREA Turquoise pack editions

We sell TEREA Turquoise in two production editions, and you pick one with the edition switcher. The pack design differs by production edition. Each is a sealed carton of 200 sticks, priced in the buy box.

Which IQOS devices work with TEREA Turquoise?

TEREA Turquoise works in every IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i device. It is not for IQOS 3 DUO or earlier bladed holders: IQOS warns that TEREA may damage them. If you need a device, the IQOS ILUMA i PRIME takes every TEREA flavor.

Is TEREA Turquoise the same as HEETS Turquoise?

No. HEETS Turquoise and TEREA Turquoise are separate sticks for different devices. HEETS Turquoise is made for bladed IQOS holders, TEREA Turquoise only for IQOS ILUMA, and IQOS says HEETS cannot be used with an ILUMA device. IQOS describes HEETS Turquoise and TEREA Turquoise with the same flavor wording, although IQOS names neither as the official match for the other. If you are moving from HEETS Turquoise to an ILUMA device, TEREA Turquoise is the flavor to look at. The HEETS to TEREA chart lines up every flavor.

How to use TEREA Turquoise

Insert a TEREA Turquoise stick into an ILUMA device; it is heated from within, so never light it and never re-use it. One session lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first; on ILUMA i devices, FlexPuff may add 4 extra puffs. Keep sticks away from children and pets: each contains a sharp metal part.
