IQOS ILUMA i ONE is the one-piece device of the IQOS ILUMA i range, made by IQOS, the Philip Morris International device brand. Battery and heater share a single compact body, so there is no Holder to take in and out of a charger: a full charge runs up to 20 uses back to back. It heats SMARTCORE STICKS, such as the TEREA we sell, with the bladeless SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM, and IQOS lists AutoStart, Autostop and FlexPuff as its features. It has no Touch Screen, Pause Mode or FlexBattery; those stay with the two-piece models. It follows the earlier IQOS ILUMA ONE, adding AutoStart, AutoStop and FlexPuff.

IQOS ILUMA i ONE features

AutoStart and AutoStop

Slide the cap open and push a stick in: the device vibrates and warms up without a button press. A 1-second press on the button starts heating too, if you prefer. AutoStop is the other half: move or remove the stick during a use and the device ends it.

FlexPuff

FlexPuff watches your puffing pattern and may grant up to 4 extra puffs inside the 6-minute window. IQOS is clear that it will not trigger for every user or every use.

Lights instead of a screen

The i ONE talks through lights and vibration. During a use the lights track the time left, and one vibration with a flashing white light marks the last 30 seconds or last 2 puffs. A short button press outside a use shows the battery: four lights mean more than 75% left, a single light less than 25%.

ILUMA ONE is the earlier one-piece model without the "i". Both charge in about 90 minutes and heat SMARTCORE sticks by induction. IQOS names two additions for the i ONE: AutoStart with AutoStop, and FlexPuff.

Which sticks work in IQOS ILUMA i ONE?

SMARTCORE STICKS only: IQOS names TEREA, DELIA and LEVIA, and we carry TEREA tobacco sticks and LEVIA tobacco-free nicotine sticks. IQOS states plainly that the i ONE cannot use HEETS, and that SMARTCORE sticks should not go into earlier IQOS generations, where they can damage the device.

How to use IQOS ILUMA i ONE

1. Charge the device fully before the first use.
2. Hold the button for 4 seconds; the lights come up slowly.
3. Slide the cap open and insert a stick up to the line on its filter, until the device vibrates.
4. Preheating starts on its own and takes about 20 seconds; wait for the second vibration and a steady light.
5. Use it while the lights count down; a vibration and flashing white light mark the end.
6. Remove the stick, dispose of it safely and slide the cap closed.

Charging and battery

A full charge takes about 90 minutes with a USB-C cable and a 5V 2A wall adapter. The i ONE does not need a full battery to work, but IQOS asks for a full charge before the first use. The box has a cable but no adapter; IQOS asks for a compatible 5V 2A adapter with a USB-C output.

What comes in the box, and colors

IQOS lists the IQOS ILUMA i ONE device and a charging cable; sticks and an adapter are not included. The five colors IQOS shows are Breeze Blue, Leaf Green, Digital Violet, Vivid Terracotta and Midnight Black, and a sleeve is the accessory IQOS offers for it.
